VeteranDB Introduces Guided Onboarding for Members and Organizations

Veteran Database

a clear path to membership

VeteranDB has introduced a guided onboarding process that brings its account and organization setup requirements into a clear sequence. Members confirm their email address, complete the applicable Veteran or military dependent verification, and then establish their organization.

The update connects these requirements within the member experience, helping people understand what they need to complete before accessing organization management tools.

Email Confirmation Comes First

All VeteranDB accounts must now have a verified email address. Members confirm access to their inbox before proceeding with protected platform features.

Email confirmation establishes that a member controls the address associated with the account. Veteran and dependent verification are handled separately, confirming the community connection required to create an organization.

This distinction gives each step a defined purpose and helps members understand why both are required.

Verification Before Organization Creation

After confirming their email address, members who want to create an organization must complete Veteran or military dependent verification.

VeteranDB’s verification system supports separate verification types and review statuses. Verified Veterans can also invite eligible dependents through a dedicated process that verifies dependent status when a valid invitation is completed.

Members who have not met the verification requirement are prompted to complete it before creating an organization.

From a Verified Account to an Organization

Once the required verification is complete, eligible members can establish their organization and begin managing its presence on VeteranDB.

Organization tools support team invitations and role-based access, allowing administrators to involve the people responsible for maintaining listings and related content. Each team member uses an individual account.

For businesses, nonprofits, podcasts, and directory listings, public visibility requires the associated organization to maintain at least one verified Veteran or dependent administrator. The onboarding sequence brings that requirement forward to the organization setup process.

Public Discovery Remains Open

Visitors can continue exploring VeteranDB’s public listings and published content without creating an account. Guided onboarding applies to members accessing protected features and establishing an organization’s presence.

The update supports VeteranDB’s broader effort to make participation easier to understand as its organization, publishing, and account-management tools expand.
