VeteranDB Expands Its Platform for Veteran Businesses, Nonprofits, and Creators
VeteranDB has introduced a series of platform updates designed to help Veterans, military dependents, businesses, nonprofits, and creators establish their presence, manage their organizations, and connect with the broader Veteran community.
Over the past two months, the platform has expanded organization management, introduced a more flexible verification system, launched a new publishing platform for its blog and magazine, and strengthened account security. Together, these improvements support VeteranDB’s larger goal: making Veteran-related businesses, resources, and stories easier to discover in one connected platform.
VeteranDB brings business listings, nonprofits, podcasts, directory resources, and editorial content into a shared public resource. Its public-facing content allows visitors to discover participating organizations and explore their work without creating an account.
More Tools for Organizations
New organization management features allow multiple people to help maintain an organization’s presence. Organization invitations, role requests, and scoped permissions give teams a way to share responsibilities while controlling access to their content.
These capabilities support organizations whose listings and publishing responsibilities extend beyond a single person, including businesses, nonprofits, and media teams.
Stronger Verification and Member Access
VeteranDB has expanded its verification system to support both Veterans and military dependents. Verified Veterans can invite eligible dependents through a dedicated invitation process, while platform staff have tools to review and manage verification status.
Verification also supports the integrity of public listings. Business, nonprofit, podcast, and directory listings must be associated with an organization that has a verified Veteran or dependent administrator to remain publicly visible.
A guided onboarding process brings email confirmation, Veteran or dependent verification, and organization setup into a clearer sequence.
A New Foundation for Publishing
VeteranDB has also introduced a new content management platform supporting blog posts, magazine articles, magazine issues, press releases, and other editorial resources.
The publishing system includes draft and approval workflows, organization ownership for blog posts and press releases, and tools to manage content across the blog and magazine. Contributor and columnist applications provide a structured path for writers interested in participating.
These updates create more opportunities to highlight the people, organizations, experiences, and perspectives within the Veteran community.
Expanded Account Protection
Recent security improvements include required email verification and email-based two-factor authentication. Members who have not completed a qualifying verification within the previous 30 days must complete an additional emailed-code step before receiving access to their account.
The release also includes additional protections against unauthorized account access and repeated login attempts.
Veterans, military dependents, organization representatives, and readers can explore the platform and create an account at https://VeteranDB.com.
