How can VeteranDB help me?
The VeteranDB is a self-service platform that embodies the spirit of “help me, help you”. You could change your future with 10 minutes of work.
Example:
You have a service-based business. You register for the platform. Then you create your business listing, and fill out all of the information, including a blog RSS feed, a link to your website and a good logo. Which is setup to be very self-explanatory and simple.
After that, you will find an “embed code”, which is simple HTML code that contains the VeteranDB logo and a link to your VeteranDB listing. You simply copy this code, and paste it into your footer.
If you don’t want to participate in other areas, like our future online stores, be on our podcast, sell a course, etc. then you have completed the bare minimum.
How does this help me?
I can guarantee you that we are better at SEO than 90% of Veterans out there. Our goal is to leverage your content on our platform, to drive traffic to the platform and to your content. This helps you get more exposure, but through the medium of our platform.
Examples:
1. By adding your domain onto the platform, you get a backlink. Which helps YOUR SEO.
2. By providing your blog RSS feed, we can import your articles. For each article, you get two backlinks. Which helps YOUR SEO.
3. By putting the embed code in your footer, we get a backlink for each page on your website. Which helps OUR SEO.
4. The same will trickle down for each new module that is added to the platform.
So, together we elevate the platform, and the platform elevates you.
We are working on launching a podcast, which will help us give you more exposure was well for each episode and all of our marketing channels.
Why was VeteranDB founded?
VeteranDB was founded by Jared Ledbetter, a USMC Veteran, supply and logistics expert, a web and software developer, author and more.
VeteranDB was founded initially to represent a Veteran version of the Internet Movie Database (IMDB). For context, Jared is a movie buff. So, for well over a decade, doing an online search for a movie or TV show would always result in IMDB showing up on the first page of Google.
One day it clicked for him. Veterans should have something similar for all of their business and entertainment ventures.
Something that centralizes an absurd amount of data, that can become a single point of reference for all things Veteran business and entertainment. A place that is not just a series of silos, but one that is connected across multiple silos, so you can navigate from one to the next and still find what you’re looking for. Just like the IMDB website does for lovers of film and TV.
Thus, VeteranDB was born.
